Bay Bump week 14
Babycenter sent a mail updating me on the fascinating development of the foetus. Apprently, the foetus is now around 9 cms, weighs 43 grams and can even grasp, squint, frown, grimace and even suck its thumb. Wow!The bump is now more visible than ever. I've started walking like a penguin and for the first time in all these weeks am feeling happy about it. The nausea seems to be reducing though not completely gone. The gynaec told me during my last check up that this could last the entire 9 months for some women. Gawd! Hope I'm not part of that group.
I get a lot of stares from everyone daily. Somehow I have also noticed more pregnant women than I ever did before! Why do women stare at pregnant women? Do they wonder how it feels to be carrying a baby? Do they dislike pregnant women? Are they reliving the days when they were pregnant? I dunno, but its a bit odd. And what do men think? Would they just think that 'she's going to take a long leave very soon' or are they surprised how women can work while being pregnant or do they fancy getting pregnant themselves? God knows. But everyone stares. Or maybe I'm just too conscious...
