"Why Russell dislikes Ash"

That's right! That's the title of the article on DNA and the 'Ash' mentioned here is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Honestly I'm offended. Russell Peters is a very funny 'Anglo Indian' stand up comedian. I love watching his shows as his sense of humor is just great and the insights he uses very intelligent. But, I find his views arrogant.

To quote him from the article, "I wouldn’t watch a Bollywood film even if I am at the lowest point of my life. These films have horrible stories and terrible acting." I'm sure he hasn't seen Sholay, Mughal-e-Azam, Deewar, Mother India, Chashme Baddoor, Jaane bhi Do Yaaron, Lagaan, Swades, RDB, Bheja Fry, TZP, etc. etc. My list is obviously limited. Satyajit Ray's, Shyam Benegal's, Hirshikesh Mukherjee's, Basu Chatterjee's, Bimal Roy's, Guru Dutt's films are not even on my list because I find it tedious to list all of them.

While I do not want to say that all Hindi movies are great or all our actors are brilliant, ( example, I wouldn't go to see Karzzzz, even if someone gave me a free ticket and I agree about Ash being where she is because she is beautiful), there are some really watchable ones too. The Razzies wouldn't have existed if all Hollywood movies were so great!

And he has the gall to say this when asked if he will do a TV show in India - “I am not quite sure if the money will be good enough. India has a population of 1.2 billion people. You can find somebody to do a comedy show for you. I won’t do it as I am quite content with what I am already doing,” he says. Thank you Mr. Peters for respecting your Indian fans so much and I'm sorry your skin is brown!
